In a dataset with dates [02/02/2020, 01/01/2019, 03/03/2021], the latest date (maxima) is 03/03/2021.

Similar to the maximum, the earliest date can be equally significant. Historians studying events or managers assessing project starts can find the minimum date, providing context or setting timelines.
